WE WORK IN COMMUNITIES TO REDUCE SINGLE-USE
PLASTIC PACKAGING

We're all aware of the plastic pollution problem. More and more, people are concerned and wanting to see action to reduce single-use plastics in their communities.

Many people are changing habits and practices, but if we want to see real change, we need to stop single-use plastics at the source.

WHAT WE NEED ARE WHOLE COMMUNITIES TAKING A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO REDUCE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC PACKAGING, WITH A FOCUS ON LONG LASTING SOLUTIONS.

In 2018, Boomerang Alliance started the Plastic Free Noosa project. Our goal was simple - create a program to assist businesses to reduce single-use plastics, and create a guide so other communities could replicate it.

We soon realised that working with businesses, suppliers and the packaging industry to achieve this change was anything but simple!

SO WE CREATED 'PLASTIC FREE PLACES' - A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM THAT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED BY US IN ANY COMMUNITY.
